On the 1st February 2008 the new licensing Act came into force in Scotland. The law states that all premises will require a personal licence holder to sell and authorise the sale of alcohol from the said premises. Under paragraph 6 of schedule 3 of the Scottish licensing Act the law also states all other members of staff are required to achieve a level of competence in retailing alcohol.
As a company we specialise in providing alcohol/liquor licence training to the hospitality retail industry throughout Scotland.
We run regular liquor licence training courses throughout Scotland for the Scottish certificate for personal licence holders (SCPLH) The awarding body for the SCPLH qualification is Education Development International. The qualification is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (Regulatory) at Level 5 in the Scottish Qualifications Framework. The EDI SCPLH personal licence qualification is accepted by all Scottish licensing boards. We offer regular one day instuctor led personal licence training courses for the SCPLH certificate at various locations throughout Scotland including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Ayr, Dumbarton, Dumfries, Dundee, Glenrothes, Inverness, Fort William, Kilmarnock, Kirkintilloch, Peebles, Perth, Stirling and St Andrews.
