The company was originally founded in 1992 under the Innterpub banner by the current Directors who have both gained valuable experience and knowledge from working directly within the hospitality industry. Both Directors have also been actively involved in hospitality and retail training for a combined time of over 60 years. They have also managed and owned various licensed premises from Public Houses, Hotels and Retail outlets. Personal Licence Scotland.com was first launched in 2007 ready for the introduction of the new licensing Act for Scotland which came into force in September 2007. Our official launch was at the Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh for the SLTN (Scottish Licensed Trade News) annual trade show Over the last few years we have helped thousands of Scott’s gain their licensing qualification.

The aim of the company from the off set was to provide professional licensed trade related training courses throughout Scotland, England and Wales, with a flexible approach for both individuals and groups. Over the years the company has provided it’s training courses for small retailers, independents and large national companies, such as DHL, Makro, Jury’s Inn (Glasgow), Ibis Hotels, Scottish Whisky Centre in London Metropolitian Police, Nicholson’s, Scottish Liqueur Centre, T.G.I. Fridays, London Univercity College (LUC), Taylor Walker, Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries. Holiday Inn, Time Group, Indian Spice, Mint Restaurants, Hippodrome, Leicester Square London, to name only a few. The Company has been at the for-front of professional hospitality training for the last ten years, producing it’s own recognised licensing certificate the (RLC) Regional Licensee’s Certificate, which was an acceptable and recognised licensing qualification throughout the whole United Kingdom.
Over the past few years the company has produced hundreds of certificates for it’s independent clients, such as Off-Licenses, Indian & Chinese Restaurants, Independent pub companies, bars, bed & breakfasts and hotels.
Over the past few years the company has been very busy providing training courses for the new Scotish (SCPLH) qualification, with well over 4,000 successful applicants in 2008 & 2009 alone. With our dedicated team of licensing professionals we can now offer our services for Personal Licence Applications, Licence Transfers and new Premises Licence Applications any where in Scotland or the UK. Our new on line training courses are proving a success in England and Wales and should be a great benefit for Scotland.
