ILA Funding – Personal Alcohol Licence

ILA Funding for a Personal Alcohol Licence

ILA Funding - Personal Alcohol LicenceWe get asked on a regular basis if individuals can use their Scottish ILA account to fund a personal licence to sell alcohol. The simple answer is yes! Individual Learning Accounts (ILA’s) can be used towards the training cost for a Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (SCPLH) level 6 course.

Candidates can apply for an ILA grant towards gaining their Scottish personal licence, however your ILA account will not fund the cost of the licence application to the Licensing Board in your area. The cost of the personal licence application in Scotland is £50.00

ILA funding can also be used towards the cost of a personal licence holder refresher course or a food safety level 2 course. The most common courses undertaken by people working in the Scottish hospitality trade.
