Individual Learning Accounts (ILAs) are for people who are 16 or over and living in Scotland. An ILA can contribute up to £200 towards the costs of a a training course. To be eligible for ILA funding, you must have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or be receiving benefits. Consult the ILA website for full eligibility criteria.

To implement an ILA during course booking, you need to have applied for and received an activated ILA number. This number must be quoted during booking payment. Please book by telephone during office hours on: 01242 222 188  At this time we can not accept online bookings for ILA funding.

To book a licensing course using ILA funding in Scotland candidates must allow a minimum of 10 working days notice prior to the date of the course.

The course cost is drawn directly from ILA funding; funds are not temporarily withdrawn from your account. Note that ILA funding can cover the full cost of an SCPLH qualification but cannot contribute further towards the cost of a Scottish personal licence. ILA funding can also be used for the half day SCPLH/R personal licence refresher course.
